That’s because I have a really good staff that gets it! Something needs to be done? It’s done!
I’m also always excited to see someone going on to bigger and better things! Did I spend all this time training them so they can go and benefit someone else? You bet! There’s no lifetime job, but I like to think I’m training the next generation of leaders. I want them to go out and make a difference. I hope they’ll tell other people that they can build a solid foundation from working with me.
So, reader, I am asking for your stories. What do you do for staff development? Do you feel they owe you an allegiance or do you see yourself as a mentor?
As always, please keep it civil and relevant. I promise I will refrain from commenting on your experience, but I might be curious enough to ask questions to better understand your story.
